PAST PROJECTS

I have worked with many clients across various sectors throughout my career. In every project, I carefully guided them to maximise their work and ensure the end-user remained the focus, as well as making sure the project ran smoothly. With my marketing experience, I add value to writing, making sure it's clear, accurate and effective.

Have a look at a few examples of my recent projects.

iAbacus

iAbacus is an online, self-evaluation and strategic planning tool originally created for schools and education providers but is now being launched for other sectors.

I've worked with the small, dedicated team for some time now. They have bags of passion but not enough time so I've helped ease the pressure, allowing them to focus their skills on sales and customer service.

I've completed customer emails, website landing pages and their story, about the genus and impact of their software. Copywriting, proofreading and consultancy have all been employed.

Kathryn Hill Photography

I provided copywriting, proofreading and marketing advice for Kathryn Hill Photography. A small, independent photographer based near Chesterfield, Kathryn specialises in newborn and toddler photography.

Kathryn needed some help to smarten up her copy and make it clear what to expect from the Cake Smash package. Her images are beautiful and she's so calm and gentle with the children that we wanted to reassure parents that their children are in good hands and they'll get some fantastic images.

Kathryn said: "Hannah is fantastic to work with, very professional and has great ideas. She took the weight off my shoulders and solved a problem I’d been putting off for months!"

Mecca Bingo

Working with Krow Agency, I developed copy for a blog article to boost a full recruitment campaign for the revamped Luton venue.

Working with existing creative and brand guidelines, I needed to encompass the fun tone of voice and turn the usual bland job descriptions into something a bit more - Mecca.

With tight deadlines and an evolving brief, I worked with the team at Krow to develop headline options as well as weave in key phrases to provide continuity with the wider social campaign.

Datcom

Datcom were in the lengthy process of revamping their website but wanted a quick fix to make the existing content work harder until the shiny, new  site went live. The old content had been created and edited sporadically as the business grew so was inconsistent, clunky and a little confusing in places.

As an IT services company, they excel in finding user-friendly solutions to sometimes complicated and confusing technical issues. However, the previous language didn't reflect their high-standards and down-to-earth approach.

I completed an extensive proofread to spot inconsistencies and suggested edits to improve clarity, flow and accuracy.

John Pearce website

A bit of a personal project, my father decided he wanted to refocus and relaunch his website after a change of direction and pace in his professional life. The challenge was to holistically link the many facets of his career, life and skills, depicting the man not just his CV.

I took existing content from the old website and rewrote to make everything more concise and focused. It resulted in a total restructure of the site and even a change of aesthetic, including new photography.

It was a few months in the making but well worth the consideration, reviewing and collaboration. I hope you agree.

Kenyan Educational Support (KES)

As a trustee for Kenyan Educational Support (KES) I had particular responsibility for marketing communications from since 2013. I helped develop the writing style and made things clearer and more consistent, smartened up the e-newsletter, updated online articles and created a range of literature.
